This is ONLY time to get the exclusive Halloween tree in a cauldron. Due to demand and supplier inventory we are putting a pre-order together NOW. Registration will close out on August 9th.

These are perfect for your Halloween tablescape. And remember pumpkins don't have to be orange! Our ceramics are finished off with a glossy sealant and are NOT kiln-fired. You will take your piece home with you the same day!

These will be able to be done at various open paint nights at Saltwater Gifts & Books in Pleasanton in September and August. Or you can take the kit home or host your own private a workshop! These will not be ready from my supplier till late August, we will reach out when they arrive after we check them for breakage and ask you where you would like paint your tree.

This is a new tradition not to miss! SPACE IS LIMITED. Registration will close out on August 9 so we can get to ordering our ceramics, or when we are sold out. LIMITED SUPPLY!

Exclusive Cauldron Tree Details:
The tree is my favorite and this hauntingly good design was inspired by our classic ceramic tree, but with a spooktacular twist! Our Halloween tree features a jack-o'-lantern tree topper that lights up, orange and purple pin lights and to finish off the ghostly look, a cauldron base! Are you going to paint it BLACK, ORANGE or GREEN??? Choice is yours. Or spruce things up with any of the other options!

This tree includes - orange and purple pin lights and light kit! Again, no kiln firing is required we will provide a glaze to put on tree to seal.

Note the words Happy Halloween and the cobwebs are drawn on with paint markers.

Guest Policy

Unless otherwise specified in the workshop description, unregistered guests are not permitted to attend any workshop, whether it is a public workshop or private party. Bringing an unregistered guest will result in the guest being asked to leave as this interferes with the attention and experience of our registered makers. Makers can inquire about purchasing a guest seat but the request will be subject to approval.


By completing registration you are agreeing to these terms.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Due to the customizations of ALL of our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS for workshops. By completing registration you are agreeing to the Cancellation & Refund Policy for all attendees.

  • If you cancel with at least 48-hours notice, your FULL reservation fee will be turned into a store credit that can ONLY be used for a future workshop (within 90 days).

  • Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT be granted store credit, however you may pick up your project as a take home kit within 30 days of the missed workshop. Please email or call us to cancel.

  • If you do not show up for a workshop for which you have a spot reserved, as well as neglect to pick up your take home kit within 30 days, you forfeit your full payment and project.

  • Hammer & Stain Bay Area reserves the right to make any amendments to this policy at any time. Notification of any changes will be published on this page. If you have any inquiries regarding cancellations or any of our other policies please contact us.

Media Release

Hammer & Stain Bay Area reserves the right to use photographs and/or videos of you and/or your children as promotional material and social media publications, for which it may be suitable.

DIY Experience

DIY projects aren't about perfection. Every piece turns out unique, and that's part of what makes it special.

A natural wood workshop means your sign may have random cracks, chips, knots and other natural blemishes that give it character! Some peeling may occur. Fabrics, ceramics, resin, etc. may have minor inconsistencies.

Paint, stain, glue, resin or other materials provided may stain or damage clothes so please dress accordingly, grab your apron, and rollup your sleeves!

We will do our very best to minimize disturbances to your items and make everything look intentional, but due to the nature of the workshop we can make no guarantees.

Please keep in mind, no item is absolutely perfect, as it is hand crafted, but it will certainly be worthy of showing off!
